What is the cannabinoid H4CBD?

Hexahydrocannabidiol, or H4CBD, is a synthetic cannabinoid created by adding four hydrogen atoms to the CBD molecule. The production process of H4CBD is very similar to making margarine from vegetable oil. Essentially, H4-CBD is a hydrogenated version of CBD.

To produce H4CBD, chemists start with CBD molecules obtained from hemp and combine them with hydrogen atoms (hence the term "hydrogenation"). This chemical reaction creates a new compound. It was recently named "H4-CBD." The "H4" in the name represents the four hydrogen atoms, and CBD is our good old cannabidiol.
